About Danex Charity Foundation
Formed by people who grew up in communities like Bwaise, and who know what it costs to grow up without support.
Our story
Most of our members were either born, raised or have lived in communities like here in Bwaise, Kawempe Division, Kampala. We have seen crime, poverty and limited opportunity first hand, and we know what it costs children, young adults and the elderly who live in these conditions.
We started this foundation to protect and uplift the people who are most at risk: children and young adults who can easily be drawn into crime, and the elderly who cannot support themselves because of frailty, illness, loss of family or lack of healthcare. When the elderly are cared for and live with dignity, the home becomes safer and more stable for the children and young people under their care.

A society where every vulnerable child and young adult has access to quality education, healthcare, psychosocial support and chances to grow, and where every elderly person is supported to live in a respectful environment that protects their well-being.
Our mission
To serve and empower vulnerable children, young adults and the elderly in poor communities by providing essential services, including food, shelter, healthcare, education and psychosocial support.
Our goal
To improve the living conditions, health, education and general well-being of children, young adults and elderly persons living in poor communities.
